Open to students entering grades 5-9 Swing into golf season with spring training― to prepare for travel teams and tournament play. Group training sessions and practices at Anetsberger and Sportsman’s East 9 focus on the full swing and short game techniques. On-course play and scrimmages enhance the group instruction. Regain your sense of touch around the greens after the winter and return to your full potential before the tournament season. Enjoy a complete program and find that winning summer swing with us. Open to students entering grades 5-9
Prepare for high school golf competition while developing your game, with an emphasis on the full swing, short game and course management. The league consists of six teams from area park districts that compete against each other on par 3 and 9-hole courses on Mondays, from June 14 through August 9. Tournaments are at Carillon North, Glenview National 9, Golf Center Des Plaines, Nickol Knoll, Rob Roy, Weber Park, Willowhill and Anetsberger Golf Courses. Each team has supervised practices at Anetsberger or Sportsman’s, and players receive professional coaching and instruction from Northbrook Golf Academy PGA Professionals. The league provides a positive learning experience, competitive fun and a chance to play different courses.
Tryouts: Two Rounds Saturday, May 22, 3pm on the East 9 Sunday, May 23, 10am at Anetsberger Golf Course Fee is $25; registration forms available May 1 in the golf shops at Sportsman’s and Anetsberger

Team members are expected to enroll in the Northbrook Golf Academy’s Junior Development Program or take private lessons from a Northbrook Golf Academy instructor to maintain a competitive edge and continue their development. Players are responsible for arranging transportation to events.

North Shore Travel League Open to students entering grades 5-9 This league introduces junior golfers to more competitive golf tournaments and prepares them for the more advanced stages of high school golf competition. The league consists of teams from Winnetka, Green to Tee, Sunset Valley, Willowhill, Sportsman’s and Anetsberger Golf Courses. Competitions are on Mondays from June 14 through August 2, with tournaments at the following full-sized 9-hole courses: Glencoe, Sportsman’s East 9, Sunset Valley, Willowhill and Winnetka.

(Open to students entering grades 5-8) Junior golfers can continue playing competitive golf after school on Mondays from mid-September through mid-October. Competitions may be at Glencoe, Sunset Valley, Willowhill, Winnetka and Sportsman’s East 9 Courses. Players pay for green fees weekly and receive one additional practice per week for 1.5 hours. No tryouts are required. The fee of $150 also includes coaching and a $50 pre-paid card for additional practice at the Sportsman’s Range.
